Fourth Grade is a key transitional year, as students work more independently. In addition, the focus shifts from “learning to read” into “reading to learn.” Every day is an opportunity to gain new and exciting knowledge.
As fourth graders, the students are expected to be respectful and responsible. They have daily work in and out of class across multiple subjects. This year is also a chance for them to take advanced math with the middle school.
In addition to an academic rigor exceeding state standards, we are blessed to be able to learn about the Lord. Faith is an important factor in this classroom and it informs the way we treat one another. The Fourth Grade works together as a community in order to help every student become prepared for success in their education and throughout their entire life.
At the end of every year, the class travels to the state capitol building in Olympia for a tour. Additionally, we preform a play for the whole school.
Feel free to stop by and see what these amazing students accomplish each day.
