WE ARE GOD’S FAMILY UNITED TO EQUIP STUDENTS, PROMOTE EXCELLENCE, AND INSTILL SUCCESS IN A CHRIST-CENTERED ENVIRONMENT.
I am so excited about becoming your child’s teacher and getting to know you! We will be doing lots of fun and exciting things this year. We’ll be singing and giving glory to God and learning wonderful stories about the Bible and applying it to how we live. We will also be learning about the world we live in, Law and Gospel, raising salmon and worms and exploring their habitats, along with all kinds of challenges! We’ll all learn that “Math IS FUN”! We’ll even be creating a living Wax Museum by being famous people in history and science by writing, researching, typing and presenting our person. Dull is not a word we use to describe Third Grade! That’s for sure!
I’ve been teaching at Peace Lutheran School since 2000, and I am looking forward to another great year! I was born and raised right here in Bremerton, earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Washington State University! (Go Cougs!) I’m married and have two daughters and two grandchildren. I sing in a Prison Ministry Band called “Unchained” in which I am actively involved in spreading the Word of the Gospel. I am very blessed to be able to share the love of God with my family, friends, students, and people of all ages and in all walks of life.
Some of you already know my background and knowledge in teaching a hands-on classroom, with a huge amount of student engagement. Your child will be actively involved in their learning, develop respect for individual differences and learn to work more independently. Your child’s learning will be based on your child’s individuality with the focus being success. Together, we will see your child develop inter-dependence and become a life long learner.
I am looking forward to working hand-in-hand with you to best meet your child’s needs! I can usually be reached at school until 4:30 p.m. or anytime through school email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I try to check my email both morning and evening as time allows. I am so very thankful that God has given me the opportunity to serve as your child’s teacher. I’m really looking forward to an exciting year overflowing with all kinds of blesssings.
God bless you,
Mrs. Terri Gierke (alias Mrs. G)
